On this day in 1841 Antonin Dvorak was born and destined to become one of the great romantic composers. Also on this date in 1949 Richard Strauss passed away at 85 years old.

so this date gave us pleasure aswell as grief...I recently bought his piano works a 4e mains and must say I'm quite pleased with dvoraks works.especially his slavonic dances appeal to me.
