Gadaffi Opera

I was reading on the BBC site of a proposed Opera on the life of Colonel Gaddafi.
Politics and music seems to go in cycles.
20 years ago Gadaffi was the bete noire of the west. Now the Colonel is coming in from the cold seeking closer relations with the west and Libya has recently given up its
WMD in an effort to lift UN sanctions.
