best karajan cycle

I already own Karajans cycle from the 1960's with the BPO and also have numbers 5,6&9 from his seventies traversal.I am interested in getting more info on his recordings with the Philharmonia from the 1950's.Some people say it is his best cycle but others disagree and have issues about the sound.I know it is in mono but is the sound up to the quality of say the Klemperer eroica from the 1950's issued on EMI's Great Recordings of the Century series?

I have always had the impression that the early 60's cycle was the best.
