Maybe it wouldn't have improved upon his already existing works, but had Beethoven had a modern piano he might have explored other piano compositional techniques. He was constantly pushing the boundaries of the instruments of the time, and it's not a jump to suggest had Beethoven had a modern piano he would have written music idiomatic to that instrument, and we would all be saying those pieces are "perfect" and can't be improved upon. Have you ever wondered why the vast majority of Mozart's piano sonatas could be played on a harpsichord without losing anything musically? It's because their very conception germinates from the abilities of that instrument. Had Mozart, one of the most idiomatic composers of all time, had a modern piano, do you think his piano music written for that instrument would translate effectively on a harpsichord? It's all conjecture, of course.
