Max Bruch, Symphony No.1, in E flat, Op.28
Not bad for a 14 year old boy!!! One could mean he will find his way too...
The Scherzo, Presto shows little Max's youth clearly. Like a young horse running over a summer meadow...go my friend!
I have listened to a lot of Bruch, but I know nothing about him personally. That is very interesting, another child prodigy.
Well, I am listening to the Diabelli Variations, not by a child prodigy but rather by a crotchety old man. You would never discern anything about the man's private life to listen only to his music. The shape of things to come!

The Notturno in D major for Viola & Piano - Op 42. An unusual take on a classic favorite!

I couldn't prevent, to listen also to Mr. Break's Symphony #2
This work never found a lot of friends, it seems. At it's time the critique was, that is has no Scherzo, just three mvmnts and they are all formed as Sonatas...
Nevertheless it's my favoured Symphony by Bruch. From most dramatic to wonderful romantic, though I always have it as the 'Brahms' symphony in my mind, cause it's pretty close to sometimes. Not I would care about...

Earlier today it was Beethoven's Piano Concerto #2 by the Royal Orchestra with Bernard Haitink, conductor, and Murray Perahia, soloist. Did anyone hear about Murray Perahia receiving the knighthood by Queen Elizabeth on Monday?? He was born in the states but has lived in London for 26 years. There's something in the American Constitution that forbids us Americans from receiving titles so he is an 'honourary' knight. After his name there wil be the initials K.B.E. (Knights of the British Empire).

Well, First of all, there is a mars volta forum and i am a member. hehe
And I actually love classical and beethoven, I just wanted to see your reply to my posting a whole different type of music.
I must say I have never been on a forum where no one absolutely flames you for saying dumb things.
