Coincidence?

Has anyone noticed that B's 5th and 6th symphonies are closely related to his 5th and 6th piano sonatas?
I mean, they have the same keys (C- and F) and their tone is alike (bursting power in 5th, pastoral serenity in 6th).

Is this coincidence alone?

I think this is to do with the nature of the keys themselves for Beethoven - for example his famous C minor mood! Look at another work in F, the Spring sonata, again sunny in mood.
