B's influence on orchestral composition in 19th century

Hey, does anyone know how Beethoven influenced the 19th century with his orchestral compositions? Or have information where I could find some opinions of Beethoven from historians?

Meredith, you just need to listen to symphonies of Brahms, Schumann etc, in order to hear for yourself how Beethoven influenced symphonic writting. Because if you can't see those influences in the works themselves while listening, then this is all a bunch of empty words.
