New Hess Catalogue of Beethoven's works.

    Fellow Ludwigians,
Just thought you might be interested in this exciting revised updated English translation of Willy Hess 'Verzeichnis' of Beethoven's works, not in the Gesamtausgabe (complete edition), has just been published, also includes unpublished piano transcription of the beginning of Beethoven's 7th Symphony, by 'B' himself!

An important piece of Beethoven scholarship.

    Enjoy!

    Amalie,
Thanks for the "heads up". I go to Monument all the time to check their CD's, I have a couple of pretty fine ones from them with some real rarities, so this is like really new. I shall have to save my lunch money for this book, it appears to be a "must have".

I agree Gurn, this is a 'must have' book, and very affordable.
I understand that Texas has some of the best bookshops and publishers in the whole of the USA, and have often wondered what great undiscovered works of Beethoven are avalaible to you there.

        Amalie,
Whilst this is true, it only holds in our large cities, which I am unfortunately quite well-distanced from. Out here in the hinterlands I must rely on mail-order. However, the parcel service is by now well-familiar with my location, so that's a plus! ;-)) The price one pays for peace and quiet, I fear.
