Here are two other works by Ligeti that I think you will like, they are completely different to his music used in the film:

That's ok, I'll take my anorak and be off now...Last edited by Enrique; 12-23-2024, 11:26 PM.

Dear Enrique, would you like to try out a bit of the ear-training I do for my 1st-year undergraduate students? I can send you a link to it via PM (Private Message) if you'd like? I can add you to my students list, it's free of charge, I am the designated administrator for the University here where I teach.

I should add that the ear-training programme at my university's Music Department has been set by my superiors. In class, I cover week-by-week the required content (intervals, chords, melodic dictations, rythym dictations, etc.) and ask my students to consolidate what we do in class via a third-party ear-training website for which I am the administrator. Via this site, I can follow their progress: the time my students spend on the exercises, their mistakes, and so on. Go on, give it a try, it's fun. I'm a serious and demanding teacher but my lessons are fun and well-appreciated.
Just as an example, I set my students an exercise over the holiday period to identify the key intervals in the Scelsi piece (Aion) that I posted here above. It starts on an F natural (very slightly de-tuned).Last edited by Quijote; 12-26-2024, 10:47 AM.
