    Mendelssohn's 6th symphony - comparing a new version

Hi, I need your help! As you may know I completed Mendelssohn's wonderful fragmentary 6th symphony a few years ago:

Now somebody else said I should do a new recording with more reverb and a better mixing. Above all he added from Mendelssohn's sketches a transition to the 2nd theme which I find very cool!

So my question: Which version would you technically prefer and what do you think of that new transition at 02:00ff (and likewise in the recapitulation) and other changes (removing the triples in the violins in the beginning, changes in the Coda, ...)?

Thank you for your help in assessing the versions !

I like the new version very much Gerd - excellent work. I think the bridge passage works well. Do we know why Mendelssohn never completed this work which starts so promisingly?
