I' like Vivaldi Four Seasons and have heard better versions.
I've not read anywhere about Vivaldi going blind, I'm sure it was J.S. Bach and Handel who went blind.

The idea behind this thread was to talk about a living composer (Max Richter) who has "reimagined" the V4S in an attempt to offer a fresh take on a concert war horse.
If you read the article you will see that Richter already did this in 2012. He has attempted it again, this time with a HIP ensemble, the irony even going so far as to integrate a "HIP" Moog synthesiser from the 1970s.
