Not immediately. I knew it was by Mozart and that it was a piano piece. It's a long time since I heard K540 so my immediate thought was a sonata slow movement, then I realised there were hardly any Sonata slow movements in a minor key and the B minor Adagio came back to me!
Very good, Peter. I must admit that I did not really know this little movement so far, till I was recently asked to orchestrate this whole sonata . The first 3 movements I finished and now I try the Finale... I can't beleive that all of my life I am a lover of Beethoven and I didn't really know this first sonata so far ...

The Mozart influence I think is so obvious in the melodious second movement, but also the first movement ist strongly influenced by Mozart's great 4 hand sonata K 497, especially in the beginning of the development:
