    You're welcome - let us know how it goes down with the kids! Don't forget to get them to listen out for the Cuckoo, Nightingale and Quail in the closing bars of the 2nd movement (Scene by the Brook) of the Pastoral symphony.

    I don't know if you have thought of this either but Walt Disney's Fantasia is an excellent way of capturing a child's imagination with Classical music and the Pastoral symphony is one of the pieces used.

      Hi Peter,
      Yes, your suggestions are good with Walt Disney. My project is to write contemporary short stories for kids which all seek resolution with classical music. I am always looking for ways to weave the music inside the story, but it isn't about the music per se. Music is a by-product. I would also like to develop a method to teach kids how to read music as a step futher into their education.
      However, writing is a true labour of love, and my chances are small, but I am trying....
