Still, it sounds as if you're pursuing your dream.

I find that there are certain stages to mastering every art. First: "Oh, this is fun!" After a few days: "Arrrrgh! I'll never get the hang of this!" Then, finally after weeks or years of struggling: "Aha! So that's how it goes." What's important is not to give up during the Arrrrgh stage. Hang in there!

Yeah i am sticking in there shame i dont have much computer time sometimes i got to get ideas down in under five minutes. Well at the moment i would guess the hardest thing about peforming and writting down music must be the rhythm.
I watched inmortal beloved the other night and i learnt this. A time traveling beethoven was framed and set up for killing JFK.

From the performing point of view yes rhythm is the hardest and virtually impossible to teach - that's not to say a sense of rhythm can't be developed, but the really great artists have a perfectly natural sense of rhythm.
From the composer's point of view - all the great ones agree that the writing down of the notes is the easy (if laborious) bit!

I think i would come up with better stuff if had a keyboard to mess about with though to test out my ideas quicker.

Well my friends and I listened to this and thought it was delightful,it has a rather comic character and suited our needs as back ground music while we looked at a slideshow of paintings after James Joyce's Finnegans Wake.
                    Keep up the good work.
