    Lang Lang/Tonight Show

If there's anyone who caught Jay Leno last night...

First off, I was amazed that he even had a classical pianist on his show but I was impressed. I was just curious what it was that the guy played...I knew Flight of the Bumblebee but had never heard the second one. It was amazing though...he's awesome to watch play...the CD experience probably wouldn't be quite the same.

Thanks ahead to anyone who can help me!!!

Hmm, have to say I was rather shocked at Lang Lang's Tchaikovsky no.1 at the proms - he certainly has technique but I thought he took far too many liberties, anyone else see it?

I saw Lang Lang on the Mostly Mozart Festival, he did Mendelssohn's Concerto in g minor, then because another performer was suddenly ill, without prior notice he did Liszt's Fantasia on Themes from Don Giovanni, and he/it was utterly impressive. I certainly agree about the unique style, almost a bit off-putting. I did note that he followed B's dictum to play with your arms held quietly over the keyboard...
